July Wrap-Up

34
This year is disappearing so quickly it's crazy! If anything this month has been a good one, I've met someone who makes me happy and to top it off I read more books than last month woo!

Another fairly good reading month in July, I read more than I initially thought I would and I'm thinking it's because I didn't set in stone what I was going to read so I've decided to do the same for August. That way I don't put so much pressure on myself to read so much! So here are the books I read and reviewed in July!

So I read more on my Kindle in July than I have for a while and that's fine by me, I really need to break down my Kindle TBR because it is astronomical! These few physical copies were great reads, particularly In Their Shoes as it contained many of my favourite fairy tales!

The links below will take you to my reviews of the books :-)

In Their Shoes: Fairytales and Folktales Illustrated by Lucie Arnoux
Kit by Marina Fiorato
Trust In Me by Sophie McKenzie

Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway
The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith
Island of the Red Mangroves by Sarah Lark
Armada by Ernest Cline

She who said she wouldn't buy any books this month...well that went well and truly out the window! I need to stop telling myself things that just won't happen! But hey look on the brightside, better to buy books than illegal substances haha- that's what I tell my Mum every time I receive a book in the post!

Another Day by David Levithan I have already read thanks to receiving an ARC copy, but I had to buy my own physical copy as this month I'm attending his event at Waterstones' Piccadilly London- fingers crossed I can get a couple of books signed!

I've put the links to the books below so you can read their synopsis' via Goodreads, I'm so excited to begin these books!

Mathew's Tale by Quintin Jardine
Becoming Death by Melissa Brown
The Dead Won't Sleep by Anna Smith
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
Another Day by David Levithan
Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer
Dissolution by C.J. Sansom

Like I said earlier, I'm not going to set in stone what I'm going to read this month, I may surprise myself and read more than I did in July!

I'm met up with the guy I've been speaking to for some time now yesterday, and it was the most perfect day. We spent most of it walking around the National Gallery and the Natural History museum, both really interesting. It started raining but we walked through Hyde Park and managed to find a sheltered tree to sit under for a while. I'm still a little wary because it all seems too good to be true, I really didn't want to leave him at the station it was the worst feeling ever haha.

Anyway, before I go all soppy I just want to say thank you all, old readers and new for supporting my blog. I love the discussions we have and discovering new books together, I appreciate all of you for being such loyal readers and friends. I hope August brings you great happiness and I can't wait to share mine with you all!

All the best and talk soon,
