Hello
everyone, how are we all doing today? It's beautiful outside today, the
sun is shining but sadly there is a cool breeze in the air!
I've
had a successful morning with my Dad, we've been Christmas food and
drink shopping and it's really got me in the mood for Christmas!
Today I wanted to share with you all five of my favourite Christmassy books...
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K Rowling
Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle
With Little Women it's such a gorgeous family read, the March family; following the lives of Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy as well as their mother and father. We see them develop into little women and it's just such a warm and loving book to read this time of the year.
Charles Dickens' novel A Christmas Carol is an unforgettable book of what Christmas is really all about, the importance of family and sharing the love with everyone. The character Mr Scrooge is a tough egg to crack but he soon mellows!
One of my favourite books in the literary world, how can anyone forget Bridget Jones' Diary! A woman I look up to greatly, her mother's famous Turkey dinners and the embarrassing clothes she puts out for Bridget to wear- priceless. A definite Christmas read where you're guaranteed a laugh and warm feels.
I've
just re-read the Philosopher's Stone this week and I forgot how much I
enjoy reading old books I read as a child. It reminds me of Christmas I guess because of the snowy scenes and just the atmosphere of the book I suppose.
I read Let It Snow last year and it provides three adorable Christmassy themed stories and they all interconnect with one another too! A light-hearted read, full of love, friendship and Christmas joy.
I recommend any of you to read these picks if you're looking for a Christmas read this year, these are a few of my favourites that I could read again and again.
What are your favourite Christmassy books you like to read this time of the year? I'd like to know of new recommendations to try out this year or even the year after!
Hope you're all having a great day.
Hugs and Christmas love,
