So over Christmas and a little while after I seemed to have obtained rather a lot of Lush goodies and well I thought it was the perfect opportunity to share with you all of these wonderful additions to my pamper stash. Sadly some of these are only festive limited editions, and with Lush these products can differ every year...so I'm definitely a wee bit late for talking about these but who knows if they'll crop up again this Christmas!
Candy Mountain Bubble Bar
This gorgeously scented sugary goodness of vanilla and candy floss smell was a joy to have in the bath, and because it's a bubble bar you can easily get two baths worth out of it! If you're greedy like me however I used it all in one go, and you end up smelling deliciously edible! A sparkly, smooth feeling bubble bar that I wouldn't be surprised if Lush brought it out again this coming Christmas.
Rockstar Soap
I think this is my favourite soap of all time- to me it smells like a mix of bubblegum and the parma violet sweets- totally sniff worthy a day afterwards too! You don't need to use a lot of this to lather up well, and you're left with the smoothest of skin- it feels wonderful! I've heard also that this soap is great for sensitive skin too with no irritation so it's a win-win if you're wanting to smell like a guilt-free candy shop.
Lush Pud Bath Bomb
Hello Christmas, is it bad I'm talking about these products after Christmas? Oh well! I thoroughly indulged in this bath bomb a couple of weeks ago and it beated the January blues. You're brought the beautiful scent of lavender, the perfect scent for relaxing and in my opinion best to use to unwind and a guaranteed night's sleep!
Snow Fairy Shower Gel
Famously, Lush's Snow Fairy Shower gel is never a disappointment to receive whether it's the festive season or not. The candy-floss scent immediately captivates your sense and you're left feeling rather gorgeous and ready for the day, for me it feels like a comfort kind of smell. The sweetness of it makes you smell and feel clean, and you don't need to use a lot so it lasts for longer- perfect!
So White Bath Bomb
One of the most unlikely of bath bombs to give you a surprise, this innocent looking white ball of goodness dissolves into a sweet scent of apple and citrus fruits, refreshing and leaving your skin feeling soft as cotton wool and the plain white turns into a comforting baby pink goodness that gets you in the bath and chill mood- I really need to get more of these when they crop back up on the shelves!
Curly Wurly Shampoo
Okay so I have thick curly hair that sometimes needs a bit of a boost to make it look volumised and bouncy again, this Curly Wurly shampoo is a god send of a product.
Although its appearance is an extremely thick formula with its fresh ingredients and distinctive chunks of coconut, its known to be perfect for thick curly hair as the hair needs this thickness to tame your locks and to prevent it from frizzing!
Personally I use this as a treat, not every time I shampoo and condition my hair- I would imagine it would make the hair quite oily if its used excessively. So in my opinion only use it when your hair is feeling a bit sorry for itself, it enhances your curls and leaves them feeling replenished. With regards to the coconut shreds, do take time to wash it all out and this is made easy with the shower head.
I wouldn't use any other product besides this to perk my hair up again!
Yog Nog Bath Bomb
Pretty much the definition of Christmas, the smell is quite extraordinary. I can only describe it as a kind of creamy, sugary spice kind of scent- certainly a comforting smell but I did find myself smelling like a pudding that I'd very much like to eat (hunger issue warning!)!
Cinders Bath Bomb
Nothing screams Christmas than the smell of cinnamon and having used this after the festive season it certainly got me in the mood for it, and all that was missing was a cup of mulled wine! Fingers crossed Cinders will be back on our shelves later in the year.
Roots
Okay so I know I don't have thin hair but there's really no reason why people with thick hair like mine can't use this product- it's wonderful!
I tried this out last night and I'm so impressed with how amazing my hair feels. I run my bath and began applying this treatment to my hair, a little goes a long way so don't bombard your hair too much with it. After applying it to my roots I decided to put a dab on my ends because why not?! Then after 20 minutes of a tingly scalp as I soaked in the bath watching The Vampire Diaries, I washed it out and shampooed and conditioned my hair- even when I washing it out I could feel how soft my hair and scalp were feeling.
The peppermint and citrus smelling isn't overpowering but certainly makes my hair feel thicker and volumised- so ladies with big hair like mine there's no reason why you shouldn't give this treatment a go!
So admittedly this post is outdated with all these festive goodies but as for the hair treatments well they're available from the Lush store all year round- bonus!
This is my first beauty kind of blog post so it would be great for some feedback, they probably won't occur often but it felt nice to try something different for a change.
