Also includes the Klingon Language version of issue #1
Star Trek: Manifest Destiny is an original tale using the young crew members of the Enterprise, and one of the features that appealed to me was the graphics featuring the new cast from the latest movie franchise. We see that as the Federation is expanding, so is the Klingon Empire. On the edge of the galaxy the rules of the empire are put forward by the Commander of the army when that Commander is a violent Klingon, genocide commences. Later, the Starship Enterprise receives a distress call to this distant planet, and are almost in an ambush. This Klingon appears in a much more brutal fashion than I've witnessed before in a Star Trek story. The pages of the Manifest Destiny exhibits them slaughtering the inhabitants of the planets, children, and sparing the fit men and women able to breed and create a slave race. I really loved the banter between the Enterprise next to the harsh actions of the Klingon's who are far less tame than how we're used to seeing them. I think this graphic novel would appeal to old and new Star Trek fans!
